Unusual question. I've never even thought about it when I buy stuff. Due to its toxicity, lead paint has been prohibited in most, if not all, paints in the U.S, particularly for residential use. I don't know if the U.S. allows import of products made with lead paint. Industrial products don't usually label ingredients like those required for food products. So, I guess someone would have to do testing to find out. If there is lead in the products, I'm sure there are news organizations that would consider it a story... **Q: can this be used for blacksmithing?** A: Most definitely **Q: Are these good with metal engraving like for a sword?** A: I'm not 100% certain. But they have held up pretty good on carbon steel. If you are making stainless steel blades for swords they may take some damage.
