Excellent product
Didn’t want to pay the full price for this but did and can honestly say it’s worth every penny. My 8 year old daughter was over the moon as was my husband when he had a go. The clay was quite hard but we had purchased extra packs of air dry clay from Hobbycraft and it was perfect. Lots of pots made and will definitely be out again tomorrow for another go. It’s really not as noisy as a video on the reviews suggests. Would Recommend this a million times over.

Brilliant
I wasn’t sure on this, my son was interested in pottery but I didn’t know if this would be too childish and cheap. It’s actually really Saturday and a great bit of kit. It works as it should and the arms for shaping are a brilliant touch. Cleaning is really easy. Only issue we had sometimes is the clay struggles to stick to the base plate if it’s too wet which makes it hard to do anything with. I’ve read reviews that other clays work better so we’ll try this next. I’d say it’s definitely worth the money.

Great for beginners and children
Bought for my daughter aged 11, she loves it. Easy to use but takes some getting used to. Comes with clay and accessories.

A great intro into pottery making
I bought this for my arty niece age 12 (along with a wipeable tablecloth so my sister would not flip). I thought her dad might end up doing most of it, but instead it was my sister who loved it and signed them both up for pottery classes. Another no-screens, low-tech success from National Geographic! The microscope was another big hit with the family a previous year.

Fantastic for mini pots
We have loved using this, its great value for small time use at home. The tools are very handy for centering. We used it with real pottery clay and it still worked fine. We only made mini pots so far, but thats because its what we waned, im sure it can do bigger ones fine as well.

Okay but no instructions for specific pots
We have enjoyed using this but do wish there were YouTube videos or instructions included on how to achieve certain pot shapes etc. it does get used to make basic pots though.
