Decent - but only just better than the previous animation
Currently going through this series of animated films. Note: This series is mainly for RE fans, so that's who I'm rating this for.I can say without a doubt, the animations and overall look of the film has improved over the last movie: RE:Degeneration. With much less awkward animation, lipsync on point, fight scenes improved and a bit more gore too!The effects have way more impact as well. The only tradeoff was characters. RE:D had enjoyable characters (even if they where goofy. And one really promising new character that was never seen again). Here we have one decent character (the villain) and a bunch of forgettable characters that just aren't interesting. I'm not a fan of the eastern-European setting too, it's just a bit bland. Voice performances good overall though. As I said, action scenes are improved. The camera angles are decent. A few obnoxious scenes but otherwise good.If you're expecting lots of classic zombie action, this ain't for you. You only get about 15 mins of that. However, this movie does the Tyrant justice. They really capture the unstoppable force feeling here. They have conveyed it's weight and strength perfectly.Overall, I'm giving it one more star over RE:D. For the improvements in tech, story and performances.

3D????
Being a big Resident Evil fun I could not let this one out. I was not satisfied with the previous installment as I found the characters a bit lifeless the story childish and the monologues and conversations out of place. I did not have high hopes for this but unfortunately if Resident Evil is written on something I must own it :) So after watching the theatrical trailer I decided to give it a go since that was just great. Must say I did not regret buying this since I was blown away and I did not seen this coming. The animation, models, lightning, special effects and so on left me speechless. Much better than its predecessor. I would go as far to dare to compare it to Final fantasy advent children. It was worth getting this just for the visuals. The story: better than expected. Does have plot holes and a few problems as in don't expect a Golden Globe but its still highly enjoyable. When it comes to extras We don't get much to be honest but that's not why I bought it anyway. My only beef with this release is (and that's the reason for only 4 stars) it does not include 3d mode.... which is quite expected for a modern CGI I believe, and the thing is as I was watching it, it was very clear many moments that it was intended to be 3D. I watched the how it was made commentary as well where a 3D artist even lets us into the loop how they converted this into a 3D supported CGI...... so where the f.... is it????? My only guess we have to wait for a later release... so we are getting ripped of again:) All in all if you are not bothered with the lack of 3D support this will be a fantastic addition to your Re collection.

Damnation? Damn good actually!
The voice acting is pretty poor. The character lip-syncing at times is even worse. A big flaw, and sorry a bit of a spoiler, in the film, in my opinion, was the lack of the good old "proper" zombies and their subsequent dispatch!Ok thats the bad stuff out of the way. Damnation isnt going to scare the pants off of you like some of the the games can - but it becomes an roller coast of action which is great to watch. I have to say I thought the The CGI was very well done for this movie. We were glued to the screen for the full 96 mins. I think this was done to be shown in 3D for the cinemas - and some of the pointy things in your face account for that, although no 3D version is yet available? The action is brutal and some of it being very fast paced could be easy to miss. The creatures and scenary are beautifully rendered and portrayed and the Titans were a true work of art. This movie has plenty of good action scenes which keeps the interest going and does not disappoint. The hand to hand combat CGI was poetry to watch. The buildings look very real, and so does the blood!. The BOW's are as gross as they are awesome looking as they slobber and growl across the screen. This might be the best looking animated films I have seen for a while outdoing Beowulf in my view. The clever ending does not give the whole game away totally and questions are left unanswered - another sequel? I hope so. Well worth a watch and some good bonus features. Enjoy it for what it is.

NO UV copy
I enjoyed the film but you will not get an ultra violet copy to watch on your other devices because the redeem date ends in 2020 and U V doesn't exist anymore for any movie that you buy not just this one

Damnation Kicks Ass.
If you love the Resident Evil Games you'll probably like this Animated Film based on them.If you liked Resident Evil: Degeneration, the film's predecessor then you'll the Sequel even more as its more action packed. If you love Leon but hated how he was in Degeneration then you'll love him here as his character feels more human and serious and less like a emotionless robot. The Action is quick and fun. There's more Monsters from the Resident Evil games included here, Lickers, Las Plagas and Tyrants.Oh, and Ada makes an appearance and has a pretty awesome hand to hand fight sequence. The Story is a slight improvement over Degeneration's and it appears as if the film itself was inspired by deleted levels and story plots from the original Resident Evil 5 Game. Its fun, quick, maybe boring in the beginning but once it hits the second half there's plenty to enjoy. In Conclusion, a very decent animated Sequel to a less impression first film that has ties to the Games and puts to shame the live action films. Resident Evil Damnation is a blast with lots of new ideas and nostalgia thrown into it. P.S, make sure to stay during the Credits.
