Review: Great product - I was disappointed that these are not more widely available - even Ikea don't do them! Ridiculous that those metal rack trivets are the only offering in most places, since they may be dangerous, are invariably irritating as they move, get in the way and take up yet more space on the counter. This item is so easy to apply, effective, and an efficient use of space. I also used them for 10 years in my last house and they are simply great value for money and give a clean, streamlined look to your kitchen counter.
Review: rods - Excellent product. Does the job of protecting the worktops but you can still appreciate the beauty of the worktops underneath. Bought these after one of the toughened glass protectors, although stating they would withstand heat up to 250 degrees, disintegrated into pieces when a tray from the oven was put on top. These are having no problem at all in dealing with this heat. Several friends have admired them and are on the road towards purchasing them. Stick well to the surface and haven't moved since I put them on. They are a bit pricey but then again you get what you pay for and these are definitely worth buying.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: what is the recommended spacing?**
A: I have placed mine approx 5 cm apart.  I don't think there would be specific recommended spacing.  Just common sense is needed.  Mark your surface with a pencil line first because when they stick they really stick, which is what you want.

**Q: Are these completely round or half rods?**
A: Half rods with self adhesive tape on back

**Q: what are these made from please?**
A: Hi  it looks like stainless steel and they are very good

**Q: Do these lose their shine after a while with cleaning over time. thanks**
A: I have them on now for some time and they look pretty much like new.  Although there is some usage shown because I put hot pans on, but now more than you would have with real rods.

We have had a set of these for many years and they have always been solid and perfect for the job. I dropped a knife onto another part of the Kitchen work top and so in order to cover the cut mark, I looked for another set and found them on Amazon. They arrived in super fast time and were very easy to fit. After leaving for 24hrs, as per instructions, they are as solidly fixed as the previous ones. This is an ideal product and actually does what it is designed for. The ones that have been in place for all those years have withstood Very Hot pans straight from the hob and oven. They clean up easily and do not budge or come loose, even when cleaned with kitchen cleaning products. This product is excellent value for money and I would recommend it to all.
