Does it have any wireless capability?** A: It is not wireless and has one USB output cable to connect to one PC or Mac at a time. I have found this scanner reliable and effective so far. **Q: removable lid? does the top remove?** A: Yes the lid is removable. The hinges of the lid are on chunky plastic pins that slide into holes, so the lid can be lifted off with no trouble. The scanner works very well on Windows 10. As yet, there is no easy way to use it on a Linux system, because the standard set of drivers available with Sane do not yet support this model. **Q: How do you connect this to a mac with no cd drive? Not sure how to install the software.** A: Hello, I am not terribly technically minded, but I had the problem of the scanner not working with my Mac despite meeting the specs. In the end I went to the Mustek site online and downloaded the correct drivers for the scanner and installed them on the computer. That fixed the problem. Quick and east to use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheapest A3 I could find. Black underside of lid. Acceptable quality for line drawings (only thing tested). *by L***S on 17 September 2015* Cheapest A3 scanner I could find. Not as smooth, or decent colour or as quiet as my old A4 Canon Lide 80 scanner, but I mostly scan line pen drawings so not so much of an issue. Not as quick as claimed but still very rapid for a whole A3. Fairly noisy. Overall look of it is good. Needs to be plugged into the mains as well as usb.I've used the scan software to scan but photoshop to make all adjustments. (Max OSX 10.6.8)Main point for me is the underside of the lid is black. I scan mostly on tracing paper which means I need to put a sheet of A3 white paper over the top which is a little annoying.Hoping it lasts longer than some people suggest.
