These shells are so pretty! I love the color and the polished look. Very happy with this purchase.

These Black Murex Shells are almost endlessly fascinating to look at for their distinctive dark markings and the sharp spines growing from them. Anybody who collects shells will be pleased and intrigued by these beautiful white shells and their black and rusty markings. Beautiful display pieces. But handle them very carefully as the spines are very sharp and they also are easily broken off. One of nature’s most beautiful outer coverings that serves as camouflage on the sea floor.Any shell collector would love one of these!

This shell fits neatly into the "gee-gaw" category.... not quite art but still an interesting and work of nature that is beautiful and thought provoking. The French call these kind of props "objects d'art" and can include glass orbs, butterflies or any interesting object that intrigues human beings. My shell went into an aquarium but could just as easily gone on my office desk!

Got the Conch Shell for one of my kids because she collects shells. It is a beautiful shell but it does have sharp edges. Rather that add it to her collection she put it on the table for display. I would say if anyone would get these shells they are worth it.

These are 2- great specimens, the shells are in perfect shape and condition with no cracks , chips or discoloration.. they are gorgeous for shell collectors, like me. You can also use them in your aquarium for extra natural decor and a fun new item for your fish to enjoy. They came bubble wrapped for secure shipping..

Very pretty small shell. Maybe 3-4 inches. I guess I thought it would be a little larger. I can’t tell if it is real or not, but if it is not real, it’s a really good imitation of a lovely little spiny and delicate looking shell that will look very pretty in any shell arrangement you may use it in. It’s a brown and white combination that looks very natural together and blends in nicely with other treasures from the sea or all by itself.

Original review of the two green shells: Nowhere in the description does it say how many shells you would receive for almost $13... but I never expected that it would be only 2 shells! They are cute shells and weren't broken as received because they were well wrapped. But... only 2 shells for that price? Ridiculous!Update: After communications with the seller, the description of the green shells was updated to indicate that there were only 2 shells in the set and the price was lowered to $9.99. That is still a little too expensive for only 2 shells, but definitely an improvement. The seller offered me another set of my choice for my disappointment (good customer service!) I chose the Black-2 set of assorted shells priced at $13.99. This is also a nice set of shells but still seems a little overpriced for what you get. There is a nice assortment of different shells, although they weren't exactly the same shells as pictured in the product description but very close. Out of all the shells, only 2 came broken. The little starfish are especially cute. The oblong shaped shells came with holes already drilled in them in case you wanted to use them to make jewelry. I will be displaying some of these shells and using the others for crafts.
