Even the handles have pattern. These are Queens Churchill made in England. Good weight and they feel real durable. I don't understand some of the other reviews. I've read here, but there is no smearing or muddied out pattern. Nothing broken nothing uncomfortable nothing edgy just good beautiful Blue Willow mugs and they match all my other Blue Willow which is all modern Within the last year. I got my inaugural mug, filled with some good Yorkshire gold tea. I wasn't sure if I could afford these, but I'm glad I got them because they're every bit worth it. And I would have hated myself, if I would have waited, and they would have got discontinued. The handles are a little bit wide, which is nice. They're not skinny and flimsy. The shape of the mug itself has a slight barrel shape to it, which is really cool. 11 ounces worth of hot beverage perfect . Not too heavy.Not too light just right.
