My endpin has a removable crutch-tip that works great while standing, but slips when seated and playing on a typical wooden stage.I was concerned about using the strap with with the crutch-tip installed due to the v-notch design of the endplate, but I've used it for several weeks now with 100% success without removing the crutch-tip. I like to alternate between standing and sitting, so keeping the tip in place is a benefit.My only complaint is the strap is too long. I use a 3/4 size bass and I'm over 6 feet tall. I have the strap adjusted to almost the shortest length and I still have to hook it to the back leg of my stool. I wish it was more adjustable so I could hook it to the front leg of my stool. Even so, I plan to keep using it. Bought this one to replace one I lost.To be honest, my first choice will always be to stick the (spiked) endpin of my bass into a wooden stage. That anchors the instrument very well and I think it enhances the sound. But spiking into the stage isn't an option everywhere, and if it isn't possible in your venue the Xeros is the next best thing.Looks like a well-made product. The fabrication, stitching etc. appear to be well done.I also like that the Xeros is lightweight and doesn't take up a lot of space in the gig bag. We bass players have enough stuff to haul around as it is.I prefer the V shaped foot on this version to the round "cup" you see on the cello version. It's easier to locate with the endpin on a bass.The strap is fairly long, but better too long than too short.
