Did the perfect job
I was impressed with this product, made light work of taking a tree down that had fallen on the fence, was a good 40ft long but quite thin. It was on the maximum size for the bow saw but it still worked very well. Gave a very smooth cut. It was a basic cut and drop job but none the less it saved me a considerable amount of money - the tree surgeon was going to charge at least 5x as much. It was very comfortable to use and the motion was free flowing due to the sturdiness and sharpness of the saw. Obviously not as quick as the chain saw but perfect to use one handed due to a sprained left wrist. Ladies - you may want to consider this saw if you need one as I found it to be a good weight but not heavy, it had a good grip and it was surprisingly good at getting the job done. I have subsequently used it to saw the branches off the tree and it did a good job there too and it is still sharp. Am very pleased with the product. A good buy and would not hesitate to buy again.

the blade guard appears as if it will not go back on but it will once you figure it out
Not been used yet. It arrived before the due date, it is well balanced although slightly top heavy, blade is good quality, the adjuster screw for tightening and slackening the blade tension works very easily so their should be no problems getting and keeping the tension of blade right when I do start using it. Nearly twice the price of discount store product but it is much sturdier built than these less expensive saws of which I have a few.I will write again after tackling the large tree that I have bought it to coppice down to a manageable size and let people know how it fairs.

Saws through 30cm+ and doesn't get stuck
I was taking down a dead tree, bit by bit, and my old 24" bow saw frame snapped. Since my 24" saw (even with new blade) had been struggling with the work, I got this 30" saw. It was better than I expected - the 24" would get stuck half way through trunk sections, but this Bahco 30" would go right through 12" trunk even with more than 2 feet of weight above it. I've sawed many sections and haven't yet noticed any deterioration. Sharp, effective, comfortable to use. Of course it's a bigger profile so not the handiest thing to take up a tree for sawing branches.

Nice
I've trimmed some pretty big bits of timber with this ,and even though I'm not the strongest or fittest guy in the world it seemed like I wasn't making much effort and still getting results. Nice and quiet compared to a chainsaw too.

Nice saw and good value
Bought this on Amazon as it was at the cheapest price point at the time. Very happy with it. blade seems good and nice and easy to hold and use. Only have used it on green wood (grey willow) ands it seemed to work great on most stuff up to 15cm across.

The Best Bowsaw I've Found
Bahco is a brand I trust, and their tools are generally robust and good value for money - this bowsaw is no different. I purchased the 30 inch version, and it's perfectly possible to fell and cut up medium sized tree with it.I do like the special saw blade that comes with it, and is designed for green wood. It has additional gaps to prevent the teeth becoming clogged whilst sawing live, moist wood. I bought a selection of spare blades for my saw too, including blades for both live and seasoned wood. Choosing the correct blade for your task makes an enormous difference.Another excellent feature is the adjustable tensioning screw, which is superior to the non adjustable lever found on most bow saws. Lastly, the finger guard is a real bonus, because however experienced you are, bashing your knuckles during vigorous sawing is a hazard. Not any longer.I've seen enough life altering chainsaw accidents to persuade me that manual wood sawing is preferable. Besides that, a bowsaw has nothing to go wrong, is way cheaper, and requires no fuel. Yes, it requires more effort, but exercise is good for you, and I'm not risking losing a limb, or worse. To my mind this excellent bowsaw basic kit for preppers, or anyone with a garden. Coupled with my wonderful Silky saw (also available at Amazon) it's all I need for cutting firewood and maintaining my trees.

Quality saw
This saw is very effective. It cut through 12inch diameter tree, takes time and sweat but did not break. Highly recommended for cutting down medium size trees.

Ottima sega a mano
Ne faccio un uso saltuario da 4 anni e mi trovo molto bene, ho cambiato solo una volta la lama per pochi euro su amazon. Occhio alle mani perché tagliano molto queste lame
