Gipsmanufaktur Bust of composer Johann Sebastian Bach, height 22 cm, plaster (of paris)

This bust is just the right size to fit nicely on a desktop, or in an area where space is limited. The quality and detail of the bust is great, and I especially like the roughly finished base in this one, which you can see in the picture, which gives it an added character when compared with the smooth finish of the rest of the bust. I love it and will most likely order from Gipsmanufaktur again in the near future. With my order they sent a heart as a bonus which I think might have been because of the time of year, around valentine''s day, but it was a nice unexpected surprise. It also came with a catalogue of their other works which all look to be of great quality. I highly recommend it, as I collect busts and am also a Bach fanatic.

To save delivery costs, I ordered four of these sculptures of the same height, i.e. 22cms or thereabouts. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Tchaikovsky. I stupidly thought I'd put one in each pane of glass of my bay window to show off. Oh dear, they looked tacky displayed in this way. I regret buying four of them, but I might as well keep them because of the hassle and cost of sending them back. Tchaikovsky is my favourite because his head is bigger. I'm not so keen on those that are sculpted with head, shoulders and chest as the sculptures look too small. I'm also not happy that the sculptures leave white marks on fingers from the plaster of paris. I'd have thought they would have had some coating applied to them to seal them before leaving the factory. Unlike some of the other reviews, I didn't receive a free gift.

Very pleased with this. As an organist doing my best to do justice to Bach's music, it's nice to have his bust around the house. Adds a bit of culture to my happy homestead. The wife thinks it's just another one of my 'things' gathering dust, but I think secretly she loves old Johann Sebastion.

The bust was beautifully packed and arrived on time. The new owner is delighted with it and it has pride of place in his home

Kleiner Fehler auf der Nase (ist etwas abgeschlagen oder abgerieben, aber sonst sehr schön! Sieht ihm im Vergleich mit Gemälden auch sehr ähnlich.

Unsere Bachbüste ist ganz toll verarbeitet und sieht super aus. Für den Preis würde ich immer wieder eine bestellen oder verschenken. Der Kauf hat sich gelohnt!

die Büste ist echt gut verarbeitet & sieht genauso aus, wie auf dem Bild (ich hätte zumindest leichte Abweichungen erwartet). auf jeden Fall eine Bereicherung für's Zimmer
