This isn't going to protect your mail from determined thieves though; the flap could be pulled off by a determined miscreant (who would probably be equipped with a screwdriver anyway) and your mail would then be fair game. We're lucky to live fairly rurally so it's a perfectly good item. Only complaint is that is does not keep out the rain-water collects in the bottom corner.
