I put them on top and bottom skins which has made a massive difference. I was given an old kit which is decent but nothing special, most of the drums were ringing out far longer than I wanted so these have dampened them perfectly. The little case is nice, and being able to take them off and reuse them was great when finding the right area for the pad ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best type of drum dampener's I've purchased *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 September 2025* Only recently started using this type of gel dampener and overall I'm impressed they seem to be more value for money than the clear or blue moon gel, that I previously used.I like the idea of the storage tin which fits in most pockets of stick bags. You still have to clean these dampener's after a bit of time like normal with warm soapy water then let them dry on their own.They've certainly got my approval and when I need to replace my current ones I shall be purchasing these again.They also do the job very well of preventing less overtones or unwanted ringing around the drums. You only really need one on each drum. At which ever o.clock position on the drum you prefer.
