Honestly this product is regarded by many as the gold standard for soil testing soil at this price point. LaMotte also makes a kit for NPK ( B0080GQY56 ) but that kit does not include pH and is qualitative (low, medium, high readings) not quantitative, unlike this test. I am not sure where your end destination is but another potential option is to have it shipped there if you are going to Canada or Mexico. There will likely be brokerage fees and shipping would be more costly but that is another potential option. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with and have a great day!

You are describing the typical problem with this test kit. The other problem is trying to correctly match the colors on the chart. Try doing what I did. Take your sample to 3 different people in your family and they will give you 3 different answers as to what hue of the color you are viewing. Now your other problem will stem from trying to collect the separated liquid in the tube in order to perform the other tests. I finally broke down and bought a 4000 RPM electric centrifuge. Q: What is the difference between model 5679-01 and 5679-02?

5679-02 is a direct replacement for the 5679-01 Garden Guide Kit. 5679-01 is now discontinued due to case availability. The contents are the same but this comes in a rigid plastic case and 5679-01 is no longer available.
