While the idea of having a latex-free, pre-cut adhesive patch to secure my CGM sensor seemed great, these patches did not perform well, especially under normal daily conditions. Not Sweat-Resistant One of the biggest issues I encountered was that these patches are not sweat-resistant. I wear my Libre sensor during workouts, as well as through regular daily activities, and the patch couldn’t handle even moderate perspiration. After a light exercise session, the edges of the patch started to peel off, and it barely stayed in place. For a product that’s meant to protect a medical device that’s worn 24/7, this is a major flaw. Poor Adhesion Even outside of exercise, the adhesive did not hold up well. On multiple occasions, the patch began to lift and peel within just 2-3 hours of application. I expected these patches to stay secure for at least a full day, but that was not the case. I found myself constantly having to press down the edges to keep them from completely coming off. For anyone leading an active lifestyle or even just going about their daily routines, this constant reapplication is frustrating and impractical.
