A: Hi! The handles are stationary. The item is small for the price you pay for it. It’s about 3 inches height and length. If you are familiar with the brand Bruder we thought this was a comparable toy brand size wise. Our son still plays with it and is happy we could find a Zero turn toy for him. Just the size of it wasn’t what we thought.

My 2.5 yr old is rough on toys. I knew this when I bought it. He asked Santa for a toy mower. He has a little bruder type truck with a trailer and NEEDED a mower. Like Daddy’s mower. Our son is our neighborhood lawn mower stalker in the warmer months. He will stand at any window and just watch our neighbors (and his dad) mow their lawns. So Santa brought him this mower. It’s held up pretty well but I don’t know how his imaginary lawn guy mows without steering handles and the counterweight thing on the back. It doesn’t even reverse anymore. But somehow he still manages to mow all the grass on his pillow every night. If you expect this toy to be loved on hard and taken literally everywhere, this is for your kid. If you just want it to sit in a shelf for your own collection, it’s perfect. But if you expect a kid to not break the darn steering handles off, then you’ll want to skip this one.
