Makes getting into bed the best part of the day
I’ve had this mattress pad for a week and it was bought to replace a mattress pad from a different manufacturer. This review is for the cotton-topped hourglass pattern on a queen bed.Wires: I only feel them when I actively press down and try to feel them.Coverage: seems to warm all over (previous pad had cold spots)Controls: easy to use. I love that the backlight turns off after 30 seconds so that my sleep isn’t disturbed by electronic light. I maintain a very dark sleep space.Cords: I had excess cord. No problems reaching either bedside table or power outlets.Automatic timer: works well. In an ideal world, this would be a clock and would automatically switch on every night, instead of just off.Heat: I set it to 8. I found my right temp first try and have never explored other options.Overall, I adore this product. It makes getting into bed a luxury experience. I usually turn it on about an hour before bedtime with auto-shutoff two hours later. It’s bliss.

Nice and warm
I bought this same heated mattress pad six years ago, but it stopped getting real warm, so I bought this one six months ago. It has been working great. I put it on about 20 minutes before bedtime, but five minutes may be enough also. I think it keeps me much warmer than the heated blankets. I even warm up my bed in the summer and enjoy the warm heat before going to sleep.

Excellent heated mattress pad
I got this to replace a different brand of heated mattress pad that died after 5 years of use and I am so pleased with this! I like to sleep in a cold room with the ceiling fan on, but it can take me a long time to warm up in bed, so I like having a heated mattress pad to make my bed warm and cozy. After trying a heated mattress pad, I will be less likely to use a heated blanked, as I like being heated from below. I love that I can turn on the preheat mode as I'm getting ready for bed, and by the time I get in, my bed is cozy warm, like I'd already been laying in it.What I like:-It's padded so you really don't feel the wires like you do with the thin ones-The 20 heat settings-The preheat setting-It remembers your last heat setting, so you don't have to reset it every time you turn it on-It has auto shut-off so I don't have to remember to turn it off (my previous one would shut off & leave the light on, but this one actually turns off so there's no confusion)-There's 2 controllers, one for each side of the bed-There's just 1 plug for the 2 controllers, so you don't have to use up 2 outlets-The controllers are pretty compact, so they don't take up a lot of room-The controllers are lit up with just enough light to see it in the dark without it being too bright-It's waterproof/water resistant-It's washable-The plug at the foot of the bed has clasps on the sides to keep it from disconnecting-It fits our 14" memory foam mattress with plenty of room for a thicker mattressWhat I don't like so much:-The plug is at the foot of the bed in the center, so I do feel it a bit. Other reviewers said to place that end at the head of the bed, so that's an easy solution. We have a padded mattress pad over this heated one, so there's an extra layer of padding to reduce the feel of the plug on our feet.-It was a little challenging figuring out which controller went to which side. We just turned one on high and left the other off and usually I will write an R and L on the controllers for future reference.Regarding water resistant-ness: One of the dogs had an accident on our bed the other night. This was the bottom layer over the mattress and none of the urine got past it. Granted, the urine went through a comforter, sheets and mattress pad before getting to the headed mattress pad, but that's where it stopped, so it did what it was supposed to do. It washed and dried well.I looked at a lot of heated mattress pads and after reading reviews and comparing features, decided this would be the best option for me and I am not disappointed. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a dual-zone heated mattress pad with pretty much all the features you could ask for.

It works
I didn’t like the fit. It wasn’t quite big enough to fit my full sized bed and so it didn’t lay flat against my sheet. It does keep my legs warm at night which greatly reduces the pain I have when getting up in the morning. All in all I’m pleased. If the fit had been right I’d have given it 5 see tars.

It added quality sleep time to me
In a nutshell, this is one of the best expenses I made this winter.I live in a modern, large building with central air, where I am able to boost the temperature in my own unit. However, I cannot control the temperature. If I leave the heat on, the room seamers to a boiling point. Hence, we need to turn off the heat at night. This pad made a difference in our lives and resolved my issue with the building.I found heat grade 3 to be the max, but grade 2 is usually enough. The pad is worth every penny!

It's everything you'd want in an electric mattress pad
I’ll begin by saying this is the third electric mattress pad I’ve tried in the past month or so. This pad won the contest hands down.1. The controller is easy to read and it has one HUGE plus. The temperature read out remains illuminated at night. No fumbling around to light up your temperature level. It’s right there in plain view.2. The temperature ranges are good with the lowest being even hard to detect and the highest way too hot for human consumption.3. The electric cords are sufficiently long to not be a problem.4. The connection point for electricity into the pad is, unfortunately, at the bottom of the pad. I’m 6’3”. This means my feet encounter the plug frequently during the night as it sits dead center in the bottom of the pad and is on the horizontal surface. I know, I know, I could turn it around and move that plug to the head of the bed. I don’t do that because, true or not, I feel like the configuration of the heating elements within the pad are designed to be most efficient when used as intended. Who knows? I tried and tried to find a pad where the electrical connection was at the head of the bed. They don’t seem to make those anymore.5. The controller itself is streamlined and works as intended.

Cozy Warm Bed - and Lots of Choices
I like how easy it was to put this on the bed and get started. The controls are easy to see and adjust, even in the dark. I love that you can adjust the temperature and the duration for each setting. I turn the heat on the highest setting about 5 - 10 minutes before getting into bed, and turn the temperature down to 2. I usually set it for 6 hours, sometimes 5 depending on when I have to get up. Hubby and I both have our heat set to 2, which is plenty warm - even on the coldest nights. Morning stiffness is negligible since we started using this. We have only had it for about 3 weeks, but so far, so good. We both love how much better, and more deeply we sleep with the heat from below. It’s glorious, and feels wonderful to crawl into a warm, cozy bed.

Comfort at your touch
Put the blanket in the washer right out of the package and through 3 gentle warm dryer cycles, pulling it out to rearrange between cycles to expose the damper spots as it is bulky and doesn't tumble that well. Fit it out on the bed and let it rest just to be sure dry all over. Cords are ample enough to set up any way you want and glad we got the quilted one. Just an extra layer of comfort, you never feel any cording, and the warmth is well dispersed with no hot spots. The only draw back is the controller has no memory for settings. That said, it only takes a moment to adjust your desired setting. I'd buy it again.

You will never go back to an unheated bed in winter!
This is our third heated mattress pad. The Sunbeam heated mattress pads last about 5 years with regular washing, so are fairly durable. The joy of climbing into a warm cozy bed in a nice cool room is fantastic! The controllers are pretty good: having one for each side of the bed is essential, they have a reasonable number of heating levels, and the timer feature is handy. However, the buttons are loud and make an annoying clicking noise. Its a minor issue, but kind of ruins the heavenly zen of the heated mattress experience. Our previous Sunbeam heated mattress pad controllers had soft touch silent buttons which was nicer for a bedroom.
