The interior of the watch winder has space for two automatic watches that are protected from dust and dirt behind a plexiglass panel. The watches are placed on two soft faux leather covered watch cushions (width: 31 mm. Circumference: 180 mm). The bridge between the watch cushions has a width of approx. 17 mm. The drive of the watch winder is via a motor that can either run through one of the following four programmes: A) 6 minutes rotation to the right / 30 minutes pause / repeating B) 6 minutes rotation to the left / 30 minutes pause / repeating C) 20 minutes rotation to the right / 10 minutes pause / 20 minutes rotation to the left / 10 minutes pause / repeating D) 10 minutes rotation to the right / 10 minutes. full rotation to the left / duration 3 hours. / Connection: 9 hour break. / Repeatedly the desired program is set by the switch on the back of the watch winder. Put 2 medium weight watches, nothing too heavy. Lasted about 2.5 years. The gearbox has stripped gear in it. I have tried to find a new gear with no luck as yet. Pictures attached. If anyone knows where I can get a gear from I would be most grateful. Update: Contacted Designhutte who make the product. Their response: 'I must inform you that our engines are not for sale. You will have to send your unit in for repair, but I can tell you that repairing the unit would probably not be worth it because of the repair cost + freight. My advice give anything made by Designhutte a wide berth their service is non existent.
