Q: how long is this good for after opened

A long time as long as no moisture gets in it. I put it in a Tupperware container bag and all. I leave it out for my 2 mini’s to eat as a snack all day long. But put it in a Tupperware at night..no snacking!

Q: How much would it cost to feed my 40lb dog monthly?

I can only give you an estimate based on my dogs but conservatively I would say a minimum of two bags a month if you are only using it as a food topper or in conjunction with another type of food but as the sole food source I am going to say a minimum of 4 bags per month possibly more. I don’t honestly remember the serving recommendations for this brand but most range from 1 cup and up for a total daily serving. So over $100-$200 a month would be my guess.
