It's a good idea, but we can't get the logo to actually show up on the meat. We have read the reviews and watched youtube videos. It may be user error, but either way, it still won't work. It is a good conversation piece and it's fun to watch the different guys try and make it work.EDIT: You need to get the iron REALLY hot. My grill was low on gas so it couldn't get it hot enough. Place it on the grill first and press it on top of the meat just before you take it off.

A neat idea, but only works OK. The raised lettering is only slightly raised above a solid piece of iron, so the meat gets heat from both. Also the "ceramic" coating is very thin and is not effective in protecting the iron from rust. It is also hard to keep clean given the combination of solid iron beneath the raised lettering and the tight design of those letters. I will continue to use this sparingly for the novelty, but right now it is rusting away in my grill cabinet.Go Big Red!

Make sure you heat it well on the grill before placing hot dog on surface. We place a hot dog on a super hot surface for about 2 minutes, then finish on the grill. If you are making several, let it get hot again or it won't "brand" as well. I want to try this with a bun next!

Was purchased as a gift. Looked good, but I did not personally use it, so cannot comment on its function.

Tough to get a dog to grill, but it works. I liked using it on the grill. Be sure to have the weight evenly distributed.

These were the 'all men of the family gets one' gift and they were all very excited. This process works better than the branding method I got all of them years ago. Downside to this is the company Fansedge has a major mixed up customer service and messed up my order twice.
