## Description

HOSOM is a professional door hinge manufacturer. These spring hinges make the door close automatically, saving the troubles closing the door by yourself or reminding others to close the door behind them. Smaller, simpler and and more beautiful than the bulky door closer/arms. You can use only a screwdriver to replace them in minutes and use the accompanying hex wrench to freely adjust the closing force you need. The number of the hinges you may need: ·First, make sure the size is what you need. These are 4 inches. ·If the door is no more than 40 lbs, one is recommended. ·If the door is 85 to 100 lbs, two is recommended. ·The heavier the door is, the more hinges you'll need. But make sure they are set to the same tension for one door. Attention: ·Come with both machine screws and wood screws, so both 1-3/4'' and 1-3/8'' thick doors applicable. ·Make sure the door is in closed position when you adjust the tension. ·Always rotate the tension adjustment rod or hex wrench to the left regardless of right-hand or left-hand door application. ·After final adjustment, drive the pin flush with the hinge barrel ·You cannot make them self-opening by adjusting the tension to be negative.e.

Review: They work great. - 1st day of easy installation and so far so good. I’m not sure if I exceeded the tension recommendations but one hinge replaced in the middle of a 36x80 steel door with three hinges seems to be sufficient enough to auto close. I’m sure if I replace another or all of them, the auto close would be better. In fact, you should replace as many as possible so the load is not all on one hinge. Size is equal to original hinges on brand new door. Appearance is not a concern for me. They are affordable for this convenience. Installation or replacement was very easy. No need to take door off the frame completely, as long as one hinge is replaced at a time. One of the only downfalls is that my original door hinges contain some tabs that help keep the door secured an extra bit. I’m going to find another kind that has the same security feature. I’ll post photosz

**Q: Are the screw holes really 1/2” in diameter as shown on the schematic of the hinge?**
A: No, the holes are standard size used on hinges in the US. I installed them on a bedroom door which was a simple process of removing the old one, installing the new one. Lube them good with WD40 before installation, it will prevent them from squeaking.

**Q: Are these available in the 4" 5/8 radius satin nickel 3-pack with a half moon bolt pattern?**

**Q: How man hinges will you need for a 2'-6" hollow core door?**
A: For your inquiries, one single middle hinge will be recommended to install on lightweight (hollow core) doors while two hinges on any heavy doors (solid core). 1st day of easy installation and so far so good. I’m not sure if I exceeded the tension recommendations but one hinge replaced in the middle of a 36x80 steel door with three hinges seems to be sufficient enough to auto close. I’m sure if I replace another or all of them, the auto close would be better. In fact, you should replace as many as possible so the load is not all on one hinge. Size is equal to original hinges on brand new door. Appearance is not a concern for me. They are affordable for this convenience. Installation or replacement was very easy. No need to take door off the frame completely, as long as one hinge is replaced at a time. One of the only downfalls is that my original door hinges contain some tabs that help keep the door secured an extra bit. I’m going to find another kind that has the same security feature.
