The idea is simple - use a metal insert to take the load rather than the plasterboard - and it works really well. My plumber initially had problems with the radiators as the weight of them was driving the support brackets into the plasterboard and the void behind. These provided a solid fixing - and he was so impressed he bought several boxes himself for future jobs.
