They felt sturdy and well made, the tools weren't sharp enough to cut you or anything but certainly not dull--theyre perfect for cutting and shaping clay. They feel good in the hands with good weight to them. Easy to use, though that does come from a beginner with mild experience with clay. Excellent for the price and I love that theyre made of wood.
