And after taking the plunge and buying this set I am fairly happy with them . Admittedly you have to pay attention to the installation instructions and make sure you route the cables accordingly, there is some disassembly required to hide and fix lights but it’s not overly difficult. It’s quite the improvement when they’re on , all of the ‘ window ‘ led strips are a nice colour and temperature, engine lights emit a warm orange glow and there’s a ‘ Droop Snoot’ led with an underside led in the front carriage and finally two navigation / marker lights red / green on each wing which coincidentally flash at a nice pace , reducing in brightness then increasing. There is minimal wiring seen on the upper side and depending how you tidy the cables underneath you can make it quite tidy . There is no suggestion as to what to do with the battery box that comes with the lights , illustrations show it lazily sitting in front of the plaque on the stand which in my opinion is silly , so I’ve mounted the battery box underneath at the rear of the model . The battery box has studs Lego type anyway so with a little pressure it fixes quite well enabling a cleaner wire free , mess and clutter free display. I’m using rechargeable batteries and it’s a much more pleasant look rather than wires coming to it from the mains etc via usb . Plus you can also pick the model up while it’s lit when it’s running off batteries . Didn’t take long to install however I didn’t really pay attention to the time when I started . Quality kit , very well packaged and the means to easily identify each package during assembly. She’s a gorgeous bird now. Review: Very happy with finished result. - Superb kit. Very happy. I didn't use the fuselage LED strips for the windows. I didn't like how they would look in daylight on the external surface of the plane. But the engine lights, side lights and cockpit look fantastic. When assembling you do have to take your time, patience is the key. The wires need to be very fine, and you need to discreetly hide them or wrap them. I found the online video link very helpful, better than the printed instruction diagrams. I also changed some bricks of the tail fin to white, and ordered a British Airways sticker kit. Then mounted it to a Marks Magic Frame. I am very happy with the final appearance.
