The tray easily slides out for a quick wipe with a sponge or cloth. I wasn’t interested in those that collects water into a reservoir that flows through a spout, can’t imagine how to clean that when it’s full of hard water deposits. The best part of this rack is the location of cup holders which are on the side where water can drip directly into the sink, rather than on the other sides where it would drip on the counter. So disappointed. **Q: Is the drain pan/tray/board made of stainless steel?** A: The drain board is made of plastic, is about an eighth of an inch thick, and is gray. **Q: My draining tray does not have any slat to it. Am I placing the rack incorrectly?** A: The feet of the dish rack curve upward. The draining tray sits on top of the upward part of the feet. The feet on the back are higher than those on the front, so there is a slant to it. There may be minor puddling of water in the tray, but most of the water will flow into the sink. **Q: Does the utensil holder have holes at the bottom? Thanks!** A: Yes, it is divided into three parts. The two extreme have also each one a plastic device, you can keep it there or remove it, like a lid with holes, where you can insert your spoons, knives, forks, making it easy to be steady while drying.
