He thinks these are treats and actually looks forward to the fresh bowl each morning. I keep these in his treat cup on his playstand as well. My Quaker has decided to fly over to the greys stand and help herself to these tasty tidbits! Success!! I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt that if my extremely picky 35 yr old grey( a rescue I took in 4. yrs ago), will devour these pellets, perhaps there is someone else out there that can get their parrot on a healthy diet. I tried Harrison’s/nutrisoft/tops/Rowdybush and so many others. Getting my boy to eat healthy has been daunting. The search is over. Mazuri for the win!

**Q: It looks like this has probiotics?**
A: Its possible, but not sure. You cant go wrong with this food. I researched the hell out of bird foods before I finally settled on this one. All my animals get the absolute BEST food around. I also give this brand of food to my rabbit who also enjoys it. I was going thru a small bag of this about every 3 weeks that I finally ended up buying the really big bag which in the long run is a lot cheaper. My green wing macaw LOVES this food, he gobbles it up like crazy. When I got him he was used to eating seeds, I thought I was going to have a problem switching him over to pellets but he dove into these with no problems and this is the only pellets that I feed him now. Hope this helps.

**Q: What makes this diet any different from any of the commercially available parrot diets?**
A: Any of the "other" commercially available parrot diets? This brand shows up if you Google "commercially available parrot diets". However, besides being similar to others in that it is a nutritionally complete parrot food, a difference is that it is formulated in multi-sized particles... Our birds love variety - flavors, shapes, sizes. Anything you can do to provide variety seems to be a good thing!

Bought for my blue and gold macaw. She absolutely loved the big pieces but wouldn't eat the small pieces and this food is 90% small pieces. She especially didn't like the little donut shaped pieces for whatever reason. Which is very disappointing and is a waste because she throws majority of the small pieces on the floor. I think this is great food and would have given 5 stars if at least 50% of the food had been big pieces for larger birds like mine. Then maybe she would have eaten more of it instead of throwing it on the floor. Loved this food but it's not cost effective for us because she only eats the big pieces and there aren't enough of the big pieces in it. **Update** I gave my bird the rest of the food to eat so as not to completely waste it and my bird decided she likes this food and now she won't eat anything else. She's eating big and small bits alike and not throwing any on the floor anymore! Absolutely amazing because she is super picky and usually doesn't change her mind. Best bird food we've tried so far and I think this is going to be our go to from now on :)
