Went down a treat so anyone looking for a present. would say they are big gloves the actual size. So depending the build of the person 16 oz are really. bigger than a 16 oz twin straped gloves. if that helps anyone
Review: Easily the best gloves I've owned. - I needed a pair of gloves to use mostly for bag work with some occasional sparring. I normally don't pay much more than half this price for gloves but I got tired of having to replace them every year. I'd read so many good things about Cleto-Reyes that I thought it was time to make the switch to something that was going to last. The gloves felt somewhat stiff when I first tried them on but I remembered others talking about the break in period. They smell pretty amazing right out of the box and 2 months later they still smell like leather and not a sweaty old gym locker like most of my other gloves. I do bagwork 4 times a week on average and the gloves are really starting to break in. It's been said that they are a "puncher's glove" and I'd have to agree with that. The sound you get when digging out punches on the heavy bag is second to none. It's coupled with a very solid feel that's tough to put into words. I've never once felt my wrists or hands were in danger of injury inside the gloves. As far as durability, I obviously can't speak much of that yet as I've only had them for 2 months but I anticipate them lasting years. I've used a good leather conditioner/cleaner on them a couple times already and I think as long as I keep that up the leather will stay soft and pliable for me. If you're on the fence about these gloves and you have the funds just go ahead and order them. You will not be dissapointed!
