I have only had it for a half a day and can already see an improvement. The noise level is comparable to a regular floor fan. I was thinking the airflow could have been a little bit better but it actually does its job. I have a two story house and an ac that runs 18-20 hours a day. Had multiple people look at it and say nothing is wrong but obviously something isn’t right if my downstairs is sitting at 55 and upstairs is at 75. The thermostat is always set at 68. I bought this thing and within 5 hours my upstairs was at 68 and the ac actually turned off for once. It runs about 15-20 minutes 2-3 times per hour now. I’m hoping for somewhat of a cheaper bill. Fingers crossed. I actually ordered one more just to have because. Simple install. Great quality. Looking forward to see if it makes a difference when it gets humid and 90 degrees in the middle of summer. But it was about 82 degrees today so I have high hopes the only thing I wish they would have explained just a little better was how to use the hot and cold temperatures for automation. But I figured it out

We are using this in an upstairs room with high ceilings. This room gets too hot to sleep in when summer starts, as the A/C system doesn't blow enough to keep the room comfortable. We have gone through 3 hot days so far with this installed, and it is making a huge difference,(today was a 90 degree day)- I only wish I would have bought it years ago! I got the 4X12 version and there are 2 " gaps on each side of my vent, but these are easily filled with a piece of cloth or foam. The settings are a little fiddly, but you can easily adjust once you know your air temp coming through the vent.

Noisy, but work! Helps lower the temp in rooms by several degrees. Fan is loud on high, but worth it.

Best thing ever, I have no issues with this vent, I have place the vent in my kitchen and it has help so much when I am cooking, not only does it have a fan, but it has a setting for cool and heat. It is a great price and a great product, you won't regret buying especially when summer is almost here, I don't find it is loud when it runs and my sizing was perfect, I got the 4 X 12 size

Works great. This is the 2nd one I purchased because it worked so well in another room to cool it off in the summer.

Set up the register fan yesterday and it works like a charm. My son’s bedroom always runs hot even with the air conditioning running. After installing the register fan, it is 100% cooler! Thank you!!

The problem is the amount of air it pushes out isn't much more than what already comes out. The only benefit is it can draw a little bit of cool air up when your system fan is off, but the only fan speed that seems to do much of anything is the highest level, and it's really loud. When your system is blowing air, it actually seems to hinder the air coming out. If it pushed 2x more air while being 1/2 as loud, I'd give it 5 stars, but as-is, it's hard to tell if it does much. If you have a vent where nearly no air comes out, maybe it can help, but if you have a functional vent, I don't think it will help much. Another problem is that massive border around the open space that contain the slats/fans actually covers up about 30-40% of your vent, which blocks airflow.

This vent booster fan works well. It takes a little tweaking to get the right temperature setting based on your HVAC system. I used this in my son's bedroom which has always been cooler and warmer than other rooms in the house based on what I believe is the exterior walls of the house. We tried it in fan speed 10 and it was too loud for him so adjusted it to speed 8 and it was fine.A great benefit that I see is that after setting the temperature setpoint, when your HVAC system shuts off, the fan continues to run until the temp threshold is met....which blows the conditioned air that you paid for that is in the ductwork. This just adds to the efficiency that is increased. I highly recommend giving this a try for those areas that need a boost in your home to add to the comfort level in your home/office etc
