Limescale still builds up in the toilet bowl and gets discoloured and was infuriating me because none of the "non-bleach" products I tried were up to the task. In the end, I threw caution to the wind and took a punt with these Harpic Power Plus Deep Cleaning Toilet Tablets. If I throw one in the loo at night and let it stand overnight then flush first thing in the morning they do help to reduce the limescale and staining in the loo. That's the best I could ask for and the Closomat installer who does the annual check hasn't complained about any damage to the mechanicals inside the toilet bowl so this product must be safe.
