The exterior quality is great, it's always in my backpack getting jammed with something and no tears or marks. Very pretty design. There is virtually no bleed through, and it lays flat when you need the ink to dry 🫠 The pen holder .. is good for a basic size pen or pencil, but I like mine large so that is used for my backup pen. As a journaler, I prefer dotted books and this one comes with WAY more pages than my previous books. I use stickers, watercolor, art markers, washi tape and colored pencils and they all turn out amazing without the bleed-thru (see pics 4/5). The only thing I don't like about this product is the pen holder (because I don't use it). If you're looking for a journal of more than 160 pages that is made of quality paper that can handle various artistic mediums, this is the book for you! They also come in lots of colors (a plus for creative people).
