The fit of the brackets was tested on motors from both Pololu and Makeblock (see photos). This size of gearmotor is very common. I checked the 90-degree bend of the mount with a machinist square and saw no problems. The holes in the bracket and the motor lined up. The thickness of the brackets is 60-mils (16 gauge, 1.5mm). The mounts came with screws for mounting the motor, and they did fit the holes in the face of the gearbox.
