The easy setup of the delays is a big plus. A few adjustments on the back and a turn of a dial let's you dial in the exact amount of delay you want between each phase of startup. I opted for 1.5 secondsβ€”just enough to let any transient signals die before the next set of equipment is started. Once we get the proper amps and monitors, we're buying a second one and moving all the amps to FOH (where they should have been all along . . . don't get me started!), then running a simple conductor wire between the two sequencers to daisy chain them for full sequenced power up and power down.As for the conditioner part of it's workload, it does well isolating equipment. It didn't completely clear our system of pops when electrical equipment was turned on, but I sent a couple guys into the attic and they found Audio and video lines running the length of the building intertwined with Romex Electrical wires . . . not much of a mystery what was causing the popping. Cleared the lines and it stopped. We now have clean power. According to Furman, each bank of two plugs that make up a delay bank is isolated from the others (thus, less chance of EMI between your separate pieces of equipment, especially if a couple of pieces are old like ours were). That is on top of the SMP surge protection, LiFT noise filtration, EVS shutdown protection, and, for those running larger systems, a full compatibility with Remote Access and BlueBOLT.In short, if you're working in an environment with volunteers or untrained people on or around your sound system, you'd be foolish not to purchase this sequencer/conditioner. Save your sensitive equipment and expensive speakers from user error and happy fingers hitting on/off buttons in the wrong order.It has been in place now eight months, and I have not a single complaint. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Powerful capabilities, easy to set up and install, operates properly *by R***. on October 8, 2018* This device is very critical to any home theater. I have thousands of dollars of equipment that i needed to safeguard from electrical disruptions, so this sort of device was needed - AC protection, filtering and a sequencer for ancillary devices.The CN-1800S is a pretty large component - i placed it in the rack with the other components after connecting the devices i wanted to protect and control, hooked up the 12v trigger from the receiver...(read the manual for details) - then went through a couple of power cycles and adjusted the time delay for powering the outlets 1 -2-3...ensuring everything turned ON/OFF according to the expected sequence. Finally, some small tweaks on the delays and i was in business. The whole process took about 20 minutes end to end. Just make sure to read the manual for the proper configurations needed.Overall, this is a very good product. Manufactured well - its nice and solid, full of features and carries a 15 year warranty. Not many other products are in this category. The only reason this is not 5 stars is due to cost. I have plans for this thing to protect all of my home theater stuff, so, lets hope its does so.I only buy things that have long warranties and last 20+ years (just now replacing all of my old stuff). This requires a higher initial investment, but the value is there for the long run.
