I've used them for cleaning spills on counters and floors, water around sinks and tub/shower surround. I've used them to wipe down cabinets and appliances. Found they can be used effectively and reliably on tasks I always used paper towels for. They're very absorbant, ring them out and hang to dry. I haven't needed to yet, but they can be cleaned in the washer. I have separate ones for kitchen, bathroom, different tasks. The colors/patterns are nice, but I found they absorb better on the plain side.Now they haven't totally replaced my paper towels, but since using these reusable towels, I've definitely used far less paper.
