Speeds are very good, rated to 40Gbps and with the current Nvme memory I have installed, I am seeing speeds as fast as, if not faster than the installed memory in my M4 Mac Mini. The all aluminum enclosure should dissipate the heat quite well, but a note: the heat sink and silicone heat pad do not seem to make contact with the external case, so not sure how well the heat will be transferred for dissipation.
