When a drunk driver hit me while I was crossing the street, then left me for dead roughly 5 years ago, several metal plates were put into the right side of my face. Everything changed drastically after that, and one of those things was a new tendency to lean, or slouch in the opposite direction of where the plates are. The other issue is that one of those many plates is around my right eye, so even the softest pillow can feel as though it’s pushing the plate in. What wound up happening to all of my pillows and furniture was uneven wear. My furniture still looked brand new, but the couch cushions and throw pillows all looked somewhat deflated on one side, and it became difficult to sit on my couch due to the uneven wear.
