Once I logged into the web interface, it became a fantastic tool for learning and tinkering. I haven't used every single feature yet, but being able to enable/disable ports, set labels, and configure VLANs is incredibly convenient. Additionally, the ability to limit speeds per port has been way more useful than I anticipated.​It handles the full speed of my gigabit network flawlessly, and I’ve had zero issues with heat. And this great, cheap (for what it does) switch allows you to set limits on each of it's ports to that 'if' a device does have a meltdown and start broadcasting wildly, the switch will stop it in it's tracks.
