It doesn't say where to put the carbon or how to run a vent pipe. Customer service won't answer the question. Some posts I've seen said you don't have to vent it and some say you do. I’ve purchased this pump to make my Pedicure Chair in My Home work to pump the drain water up through the wall, kind of a backward set up, but that’s what we had to work with. this pump is great works fabulously and I wish I would’ve known of this pump before I purchased my other one for my sink. This unit will also let you connect three items total I believe to it at the same time. This is an amazing pump and it’s not overly loud either and it drains automatically. You don’t have to turn it on to make it work.
