He loves anything Lego and I think this will top his list big time. It's rated 16+ so it will offer him a bit of a challenge but that's a good thing instead of easy and boring. Many pieces so it will take some time to build. Sure its expensive and you're paying for the brand name, but that aside, its high quality and really big.
