But BlueSwan has changed the black bumper material to a stronger, stiffer one, which doesn't flex as much and provides much more grip onto the laptop in a fall (bottom half). It's still more flexible than the case material, but not so flexible it can be easily pulled off the laptop with gentle pulling -- my only real complaint with the original in 2024. I'm very pleased to see this change was made -- and that product quality hasn't degraded, as many, many products have done over two years in the Marketplace. While it is very easy to install, it is also extremely easy to remove — to the point where I constantly feel like it could detach from the laptop while carrying it. The material and appearance are fine, but protection is questionable because the case does not lock firmly into place. I expected something more secure and durable.
