Review: Great Value for Three Different-sized Silicone Mats - I ordered this desertcart Basics Rectangular Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat Set because my old ones were stained and had begun to feel sticky and slimy. It's important not to keep silicone baking mats for too long because they degrade over time, which can lead to potential chemical leaching. I use them all the time instead of oils and parchment paper, so they get lots of use. These desertcart Basics mats have been working great for me, nothing sticks, no stains so far, and they clean up easily. I like the gray borders; they look great on the stainless racks in my toaster oven/oven and on my cookie sheets. I also use the big mat on the counter to shape my sourdough loaf. It's important not to use a knife or other sharp utensil on these mats, which can expose the inner fiberglass mesh. These are as good quality, if not better than, my old ones. It's great having three different sizes because it's easy to mix and match them with different racks and baking pans. The price of $11.99 is a bargain for three mats, and I'm glad I found these.

I have used for baking cookies and ever making beet chips and nothing sticks and the sheets to no discolor. They are slightly oversized from my baking plan for not by much. I have even used them without the baking pan and they are rigid enough to sit directly on an oven rack without an issue. I have not placed them in the dishwasher because they are so easy to clean by hand. Good value, durable so far - I would recommend.

**Q: Are These ok to use on an induction cooktop to help pans from sliding**
A: These answers are wrong. Induction does work with silicon mats. You do need to have proper metal pans, but induction does conduct thru the silicon. Have been using them with success to minimize mess on cooktop and prevent scratching from bottom of pans. Would not use them on extreme high setting for a long time. But simmering and normal cooking work fine with a quality mat.

**Q: Are these mats PBA free?**
A: I don’t know what PBA is, but considering they’re not even plastic, I would assume they’re BPA-free at least.

**Q: can you cut these to fit pan**
A: None of them apparently fit standard pans. I'm cutting one to find out if they can be cut. If you do before me, please let me know.

**Q: Is roasting time really a factor? Mine came with an insert that note not to use this for cooking vegetables for more than 10 minutes. Is that correct?**
A: It may depend on oven temp? I have convection so setting my oven at 400 is really 375.

This pack includes three useful sizes: 9" x 13", 9.9" x 14.8", and 16.5" x 11.6", which makes it easy to find a good fit for different baking sheets. That said, measure your pans before purchasing to be sure you’re getting the best match for your bakeware. Also, be sure to read the instructions. Silicone mats are heat-resistant, but you don’t want to burn them by exceeding the recommended temperatures. The non-stick surface works beautifully, eliminating the need for sprays or parchment, and cleanup is simple. I recommend hand washing for longevity, as silicone tends to hold up better with gentle care. They’re BPA-free, dishwasher safe, food safe, and feel well made for the price.
