I had an older Chromecast and upgraded to a newer one, but kept the older adapter. I kept getting a message on screen stating I was connected by Ethernet. It would appear every few minutes and be on screen for about 10 seconds. Very annoying. My older adapter was rated to 100mbs, but my Internet speed was over 300mbs. So I ordered this to see if it was the problem, and it was! No more messages on screen! Great product and quick delivery as well. Review: Use the right power supply - When I first started using this I was pretty upset: it would work for a couple hours, then drop off of the Ethernet until I unplugged and replugged it. Then I realized the USB power adaptor I'd plugged it into was only 15 watts, enough to mostly power this dongle and the device but not quite. The first sign of failure was dropping off of the Ethernet and not recovering. Switching in a 30 watt USB-C power adaptor made a huge difference, everything has been working smoothly since. ## Features - ★Say Goodbye to Video Buffering------Still suffering from a slow and unstable wifi connection? Now you can get rid of this trouble. ZEXMTE ethernet adapter for Fire TV stick can convert wireless connection to faster and more stable wired connection. Enjoy the extremely smooth video. - ★Plug & Play------USB C to Ethernet adapter serves as the bridge between RJ45 Ethernet cable and your TV Stick and does not require any driver or software installed, truly plug and play. - ★Premium Quality------Adopting a new aluminum alloy shell and reinforced connection design, it is durable and has fast heat dissipation. It also provides over-voltage protection, over-current protection, over-power protection and short-circuit protection, making it safer to use. - ★Perfect for Your TV Stick------Compatible with Chromecast with Google TV(HD & 4K), the most popular types in Google TV. In addition, the Chromecast with Google TV ethernet adapter also supports Smartphones and tablets with a USB Type C connection. Attention: It does not fit for VPN. - ★Thoughtful Design------Our ethernet adapter comes with 2pcs adhesive tapes, which makes it convenient for you to locate the ethernet adapter in the suitable position, avoiding bad contact between the TV stick and LAN wires due to hanging in the air. It's also equipped with two status lights, which are helpful for diagnostics/testing.
