I can't say how long it lasts for every situation, but I don't get a lot of rain here and I place the tape high on the legs, just under the stand frame, protected from the rain and sun for the most part. As a professional private bee steward, I recommend this product to all of my clients, as well as everyone in my local bee club. I sincerely hope that this product stays available for many years to come. But it has gone as long as two months and still no ants cross the barrier where I sprayed. As long as no dirt gets on the surface or it doesn’t get rubbed off it seems to last. **Q: How long does it last?** A: I first applied it at least 6 months ago and it is still effective. **Q: Is it safe to apply AntCant while indoors?** A: Hi Leon, AntCant comes as a liquid in a trigger sprayer bottle. The carrier solvent is flammable so it should not be used or applied near any type of flame/ignition source. Immediately upon application, the flammable carrier solvent evaporates rapidly, within 5 minutes. Due to its rapid evaporation, during the evaporative process, the carrier solvent has a strong odor. We strongly suggest that AntCant be applied outdoors or in a well ventilated space. If you plan to apply indoors, we suggest removing the trigger sprayer head from the bottle and using a small paint brush to apply to a localized area. Thanks for your support. I applied the foil wrap on empty vegetable cans I use as legs and spray on maybe once a quarter.
