I used ordinary batteries they wouldn't work, I used the power supply on its own, it still wouldn't work. I then put a different set of rechargeable batteries in and smoke came out of the speaker. Now it is completely dead. I can't return it as it is 2 days over the return window. I will never buy any piece of electronic equipment from desertcart ever again. Do not but this radio.
