Sunflower Helianthus Annuus Dwarf Sungold (Teddy Bear) Teddy Bear sunflower is a lovely variety of a dwarf double flowered sunflower with golden yellow, fluffy blooms. It branches out so will look great in large containers or front of border. Grows up to 80 cm in height. Will make a lovely cut flower. Sowing: Sunflowers are easy to grow and the seeds can be sown directly into a well prepared bed where they are to flower. They will do well in any well-drained soil in full sun. Sow direct only when the soil is warm enough and all danger from frost has passed. Alternatively, they can be grown inside in containers and then planted out. Sow the seeds using fine seed compost and pot on once the seedlings are large enough and have developed true leaves. Germination can take between 6 to 14 days at temperature from 18°C to 25°C.
