Most of our customers say that the Leda does not bleed or bleeds very little with ink and pens. If you press hard with a fountain ink pen you may find a bit of bleeding. Copic markers and Sharpies will bleed. Smaller tip Copic markers may work if you are careful. If you like Copic markers exclusively you may want to choose a sketchbook with 100 pound paper or more. Ink washes, water color and acryilic paint will not degrade the paper but will cause the paper to warp slightly. We love using the Leda for aggressive, messy art. You can use a lot of wet medium if you don't mind a messy, "lived in" look. The book begins to look like an ancient artifact when you let go of your idea that art must be pristine, neat and precise. Larry likes that the Leda paper is dense, but not super thick like water color paper.
