Gentle Hands and Other Sing-Along Songs for Social-Emotional Learning Hardcover – Picture Book, May 16, 2018

This book is so helpful for my littles. So many fun songs with good messages. The songs are all familiar so they’re easy to teach and to sing. It’s a good quality book with cute pictures too!

Songs are easy for young children to sing and messages are easy for them to understand!

It only took a few readings of this book for my daughter to be singing them around the house. I really like the social emotional skills taught within this book and have no complaints about the content at all. My only complaint would be that the binding doesn't seem very strong and after only a few readings the pages are already starting to come away from the backing.

Using common tunes, the lyrics presented and illustrated on the page of this book explain the emotions all kids have and help the little tots feel ok about what they are going through. These little songs also steer them toward managing their emotions and living with less fear and frustration.

As a kindergarten teacher I’m so thankful for this book. The songs are easy and catchy, and with deep social-emotional messages. The book itself is well made with hard cover and beautiful illustrations. I can’t recommended it enough.

When I tell you that we sing these songs alllll day, I mean it! I love that there are concepts he can understand now (having gentle hands, sharing, etc), but also that this book will still be applicable when he’s a little older as well (being inclusive and being thankful).After I showed this book to my son’s speech and occupational therapists, they both recommend this book so all of the families they see now!!

This book is not for those who are not musically inclined. For example, my husband can barely sing the little tea pot song. And seriously struggled with the song “it’s okay to ask for help,” which is based off of that tune. One of our favorite songs is the gentle hands one, I can see why it’s at the beginning of the book. Would recommend buying used, not sure if it is worth $15.

This book is perfect for teaching preschoolers important social and emotional skills in a way that they can easily remember. I’m a preschool teacher and my class knows many of the songs in the book by heart. They really love It’s Ok To Make Mistakes and Should We Be Quiet Or Loud Now.

I love how catchy these songs are and that they have videos on youtube as well.Great for the whole family. I highly recommend.

This book was even better than I thought it would be. Full of forest songs to teach kids about their emotions, and interacting with other. All songs are to familiar tunes so they are easy to learn. My 2 year old memorized many of the songs really quick.

My three year old grandson loves this book and I enjoy spending quality time singing these songs with hm. The songs convey life lessons in a fun way that children can easily learn. Highly recommended for teachers, caregivers and parents. The illustrations are adorable and one of our favourite parts of the book.
