Faucet runs great again! Review: Improved flow rate - wish I could say the same for my prostate - I literally received the aerators (2.2 GPM) today and installed them immediately into three expensive Grohe bathroom faucets and they worked great. For those not familiar, the purpose of aerators is to reduce the amount of water that comes out of the faucet, shape the stream of water, prevent water from splashing when it hits your hands, etc., and importantly catch debris and lead particles that may have gotten into the water. We have a water softener, and it produces deposit that can clog the aerators. I had tried to clean the original aerators on multiple occasions with limited success. These replacements were easy to install and fit well with the existing fixtures. The company provides more rubber gaskets than needed for my faucets as well as a small roll of thread sealing tape (which I did not use). The water flow is uniform and currently no leaks. Time will tell how well they perform over an extended period, but in general "experts" recommend cleaning aerators ever six months. Took to plumber shop and they put the wrong gpm aerator in. When I came home my faucet was very slow. Faucet didnt shut off when using sprayer. My faucet required 2.2gpm, not a 1.8 gpm as was installed by shop. Ordered this 2.2gpm aerator and has worked like new. Good fast flow. Sprayer works and faucets shuts off when using. Sometimes the pros dont know what they are doing.
