Soprano reeds seem less durable than those for the larger sax's and so I now tend to use Rico plasticover reeds instead as they definitely last longer and in my opinion are worth the extra expense. The sound they give is brighter and perhaps slightly more shrill than with conventional reeds but for general practice they are fine.
