Review: More than just a humidifier! - I have pushed off buying a humidifier for a while now due to having a more humid home but when sickness kept hitting, Canopy's humidifier seemed like a great option to try. I didn't actually realize that it was also a sound machine had a nightlight (plus a red light version!) so those were some great bonuses personally. Some of the features that I particularly love are that it's dishwasher safe and that it has mold-inhibiting technology. I have found that it's not too loud (I find it soothing personally) and super easy to use. It comes packaged with helpful stickers that get removed but that give a quick overview of what each button does (but honestly it's pretty self explanatory even if the stickers were not there due to the little graphics). It's super easy to fill up with water (you can use tap water!!) and lasts all night long without having to be refilled. We’re constantly refilling it and it does nothing for my daughter’s room. We recently moved to a dry area where my daughter’s constantly getting dry nasal passages and dry boogies, interrupting her sleep. Ran the canopy humidifier in her room all day and night and made no difference. Switched to a cool mist humidifier and she’s had significantly less irritation and less boogies. On top of that the filter of the canopy emits a foul smelling odor, needing to be changed more frequently than advertised which breaks the bank because filters are not cheap. When I spoke with an associate about the foul smell they told me to use distilled water to preserve the life of the filter. But one of the reasons we bought this item was so that we didn’t have to keep buying distilled water since they advertise that you can use tap water! We were actually using water that was filtered with their (Canopy’s) bathtub water filter so now it makes me wonder if that thing is even working. So frustrating. Highly disappointed.
