Tried a sand filter this year and it helped a little better than the regular filters you get with above ground pools.i got a skimmer for the pool and the skimmer wouldn't work correctly while filtering I had to have the pool pump on circulate for it to work. So I saw these pool balls and put them instead of the sand. I can now use the skimmer while filtering because the balls give better flow than the sand. So between the skimmer and these little filter balls the clarity and cleanliness of the pool is amazing. This under 24 hours of using them.
