I'd consider this a "medium" weight oil (castor oil is heavy in my opinion). The amount applied in the pics took about 10 minutes to fully absorb into my dry skin (living in humidity free CO). I can't speak to the mark fading properties of this product as I have only had it 1 week and I've just finally got a Tretinoin prescription from the dermatologist. I applied this oil after Tretinoin and Glycolic acid and was really impressed by the high level of hydration provided right away (not pictured).
